The Alliance of Minority Contractors of Houston is a Texas non-profit organization and has been declared by the IRS as a tax exempt organization under Section 501 (c) (6) of the Internal RevenueCode and its Regulations.

 GOALS

To promote and enhance commerce, trade information and opportunities for the benefit of minority or women-owned contractors in the Houston metroplex area.

To assist minority or women-owned contractors and to educate them in the process of obtaining bonding and insurance as needed in the performance of their trade.

To assist minority or women-owned contractors in pursuing funding from foundations, private corporations, city state and federal sources as well as other trade associations, to develop and implement crafts and apprenticeship training programs which will promote employment opportunities within the community and to provide and increase the availability of skilled and semi-skilled labor for minority or women-owned contractors.

To promote and assist minority or women-owned contractors to obtain work in the State of Texas.

To promote “Job Awareness” and project information through media and other forms of communications.
